How do you take an entire year’s worth of reading material travelling around the world without sacrificing precious backpack space? Amazon Kindle. Simples.
Lonely Planet has recently optimised all its country and speaking guides for Kindle which awesome, as I don’t really want to carry multiple books with me or give my purchase away on the road. I’ve also stocked up on a few favorites (not visible in this picture), and several recommended reads for the long road ahead. Reading at night, increasing the text size, and downloading new books over wifi is a doddle. I’m really happy with the app. ‘Flashpacking’ it might be but there are very few substitutes for this kind of convenience.
